Moving to Austin

Congratulations! You truly are moving to one of the coolest cities in the US. Here are three things you want to consider before you start thinking about a number of beds and baths.

  1. Commute – We’ve been hearing for years that hundreds of people a day move to Austin. That means traffic. Since this affects your quality of life, you want to buy with your commute in mind.
  2. School Districts – This is important even if you don’t have children in public school as the school’s reputation will impact your property’s resale value.
  3. Taxes – If you are moving to Texas from out of state, you will learn that Texas doesn’t have a state income tax so our property taxes are a little higher. In addition, the tax rate in Austin and surrounding areas can vary from 1.8 – 3.1%.

I can select your property search criteria with all of these factors in mind.
